Lucien Lacerte was driving west from Jasper, rounding a curve to the south in a long-grass clearing, when he saw two creatures about 200 feet ahead, one larger than the other, humanlike, black and hairy, striding very fast down the road. The larger one was a step ahead, but looking back. They crossed the road from left to right, hurrying, and went into the bush. Snow was fairly deep. He didn't stop. Definitely not bears.
