CA BUTTE 1992 TR99 * I had a sighting in 1992, I was in a small cabin in a remote area, recovering from a long illness. I had been hearing strange "bird" calls and other odd sounds. Some things happened that really got me frightened, like having a large animal follow me back to my cabin while out walking in the woods. It was a huge animal, but behaved strangely, I decided to try and get a look at it. I cleared an area of the woods and set up a spot in the cabin where I could watch the area from a 2nd story window, I would set out food and other types of things that I thought might attract it. One morning I awoke to the sound of something hitting the cabin. Sounded like someone slugged the cabin with a blunt object. It was a VERY loud and hard strike. I looked out the window and standing about 75-100 ft. in front of me, in the open...an enormous gray colored Sasquatch. It was dawn and the eyes had a glowing gold effect. He was about 7 1/2 -8 ft. tall, approx. wt. about 600+ lbs. He was standing looking into my window, with both arms outstretched to the sides kind of flexing. I know this sounds very weird, but I got the impression that he was displaying his strength. I made the biggest mistake...one that almost caused a heart attack (no kidding) I picked up my binoculars and looked into his face. ClOSE UP!! This is what I saw. The creature was silver, like a silverback gorilla. He had short kind of thin hair, you could see his skin underneath, the skin color was dark gray. He also had deep grooves in the skin on his face. I went into shock!! I watched him for about 10 minutes, he just stood there, moving his arms. My room mate took one look at my face, and saw how frightened I was and refused to look at the creature although I was pleading with him to do so. My brother was on the phone, I was describing what I was observing and he was doing his best to try and calm me. In an effort to get my room mate to look at the creature I told him I would try to frighten him away so he could get a good look at it as it was "hopefully" leaving the area. I ran downstairs and pounded on the door, then I opened it and looked out, the creature was gone. I came back into the house, my room mate had not even looked. I was so angry and really terribly upset. My room mate was to encounter the same Sasquatch about 1 month later, standing in the open again...beside a telephone pole. He was perhaps even more terrified than myself, if that was possible. The thing I thought about a lot later were the "grooves" in the creatures face. I made a evaluation of the general health and age of the creature and came to the conclusion that he was very old. The grooves in his face were consistent with deep wrinkles, or age lines in the face of a very old human. I don't hear of this being reported often but his ears had very little hair and were rather pointed.

CA 1993 TR93 * Carene Jan 18, 00, Dog incidents Have several reports of interaction w/dogs. Will relay 4 incidents that I have investigated, have not seen remains of dead animals. Have seen the dogs in reports #1, #2, #3(saw dogs before they were reported as missing). Dog in report #2 did have scars on his face consistent with witness report. 1. Location: No. Calif. Date of report: 1993. Lady states that 'something' or 'someone' is harassing her dog at night. She has a large breed dog which stays in a wire kennel outside. Reports that she hears the dog barking excessively and aggressively hurling it's body against the wire trying to attack antagonist. The dog does not display fear, but anger and excitement. When she goes outside to investigate, she hears large animal or person running away from the kennel area. This happens repeatedly. When she goes back into the house, the 'animal or person' returns and continues to harass the dog. She states she feels as if something or someone is playing a very cruel game. But also noted: this person lives in a remote area with no close neighbors. Lady ends up bringing the dog indoors as dog is being repeatedly harassed, will not stop barking and she cannot catch the culprit. This dog is always contained, or chained. Is not allowed to run at large. Healthy large dog was seen at time of report. 2. No. Calif. Date of report: 1993. Lady in report above states that she asked former resident (he lived at residence approx. 3 yrs. earlier) if he ever had any problems with his dog being disturbed or harassed by wild animals etc. Former resident states that he owns a large Akita Mastiff cross, and that his dog ran into the woods in pursuit of 'something'. Does not know what the dog ran after, but describes hearing the dog fighting with it. He presumes it to be some kind of animal, rejects suggestion that it is a cougar or bear. States that animal makes ungodly bizarre screaming and roaring sounds. He cannot identify screams with any known creature. Dog returns with large gash, 6-7 inches, side of face, no other apparent serious injury. Requires veterinarian care and stitches. Dog survives conflict. This dog is almost always chained. Incident occurred at a time when the dog was allowed to run loose. Healthy large dog belonging to former resident seen after report.

CA, * Craig Hadley; was in heavy brush and swamp in mid-October on the Feather River. Camped at Live Oak campground near Oroville; CA. He and a companion with her son and a black Labrador dog had gone frog hunting in the marsh. Around midnight they heard steps in the water coming from around a bend. It was pitch black everywhere; and the dog was acting weird; so they went back to the camp and built a big fire. Later; the moon came up and they were standing around the campfire; when he noticed a big shadow behind some trees. Using his weak flashlight; he caught the glow of eyes 7-8 feet off the ground; 2-300 feet away; and noticed them blink. Scared; they packed every-thing up; and without even folding the tent; took off. Later he read about Bigfoot at the library and thinks that's what he saw. There was not a strong smell; he commented; but there was a slight; wet-smelly-dog-hair odor (they had a lab).,

CA BUTTE 1999 TR#88 39 38N 121 24W 2050 FT * Report from Carine Short, BERRY CREEK, northern California area, no date. Witness said there were three unusual animals near her home that she had seen on more than one occasion. They went close to witness’s house where they inspected her compost pile. She had thrown food leftovers, vegetables and fruit on the pile. Witness said, “one morning, very early, I saw a creature near the compost pile...although I did not notice breasts, I supposed this to be female...it was smaller than the other adult, and much to my horror, it seemed to be carrying a ‘human’ infant. I was stunned, thinking this child must have been kidnapped! I looked through my husband’s hunting binoculars, and got a much closer look. Although the infant was very small, tiny, and hairless, the face was definitely NOT human. It was a squashed, flat gorilla type face.” Carene comments that she had read “In Search Of the Russian Snowman,” Bayanov, that there was a description of hairless infants. **Hi Ray, Finally found that date of report of "hairless infant"; the date was May 12, 1993. It was following a period of "absence", from late Feb. to. May. This one of the first sightings after this absence. Hope this helps put your dates into perspective. Mid-May is a bit later than I would expect a new-born to appear if a female goes into heat in the fall.

(neighbor sighting) Just a note to tell you about this year's new, maybe 1st Bigfoot encounter. My "new" year starts every 1st of May. That is when things start happening again after the yearly, 2 month long (9 consecutive years now) absence, as I call it. Then during June and July the real yelling and hollering begins. Activity lasts sporadically until the end of next Feb.

CA BUTTE 2000 TR97 ELV 2000 393843N 1212408W I've been having some action in my neck of the woods! Very interesting stuff. Here's the 1st. My neighbor was walking from our house to his one evening after our Bible study. He'd been gone for about 4 minutes. Then we hear pounding on our door…There's the neighbor, breathless and scared to death!! He told Steven and I that as he walked toward his property, he noticed there was a large "man" standing by Warren's camper. (Warren stores his camper here, when he visits he likes to have his own place to stay) We've got 7 acres and my husband Steven has a shop about half way across the property. That's about where the camper is. Anyway, as he approached the camper, the "man" ran about 30 feet, and then stopped and stood watching him from next to my horse trailer. He claims he does not think a man could run that fast...but is confused because the "whatever" was running on two legs, the footfalls were quite heavy. He's still frightened by the whole area, by the way, he has lived here for about 14 years. In the last 3 weeks both my husband (who does not, although he tries, handle the idea of Bigfoot real well) and I had a glance of a little kid B.F. he streaked by the front of my cabin, and also past my husband's shop. Fun!!

CA BUTTE 2000 TR97 CARENE about 2 weeks ago (early May). Two fellows fishing at night heard what initially sounded like 2 birds calling back and forth. This occurred in No. Calif. at about 2,800 ft. elevation. Soon the whistles were accompanied by a series of tapping sounds, also back and forth. The whistles got louder and 1 witness remarks on the "throaty" sound of the calls. Also noted by witness was the location and distance between the "birds"... they kept track of each other's location, staying at an equal distance from each other while at the same time maneuvering to different points around the fishermen. The witness I interviewed was very certain that what he initially believed to be "birds" were not birds at all, but something else... something big. Witness also reports hearing loud footfalls.

CA BUTTE, VCTY BERRY CREEK DATE TR89 * Woman awakened at dawn by a huge object 'hitting' the outside wall of her mountain home. Looking outside from the window, she sees, about 25 yards away, a huge grey colored Bigfoot. This guy is looking at her, had hit the wall of her home in an apparently deliberate attempt to gain her attention. She calls him "The old guy" as re: her description, this creature was grey, and black, in silverback fashion, with deep groves, or lines in his leathery face. He proceeds to exhibit his masculine strength, and attributes, by a series of stretching and flexing motions with his arms. The lady reports,"It was as if he were trying to impress me." He stood in the open, totally unafraid, and she got a very good look at him. Describes, ht. approx. 7 1/2 ft. and approx 600 lbs. The lady, not knowing what else to do, and in a state of semi-shock, runs downstairs with pistol, pounds repeatedly on the door, yelling, (in attempt to frighten the creature away) before opening the door ready to shoot. The "Old Guy" got the point evidently, and was then, no where to be seen. Another woman, reports hearing someone in the bushes prowling around her house every time she sunbathes. Finally, thinking it to be a deranged neighbor, lady brings binoculars, in attempt to catch a glimpse of the ‘peeping Tom'. She goes out to her lounge chair at the usual time, much more clothed, and again hears the familiar, rustling in the brush. She looks through binoculars to area of motion, and reports seeing a reddish-brown, hairy leg, being stealthily extended, almost 'slow motion' in her direction. See's a bit more of the 'intruder's hairy body, and immediately runs into house and calls neighbor. Neighbor arrives, to find no trace of the described animal. This is obviously the end of this lady's sunbathing practices. Carene
