Sighting Text:
CA TR21 Sounds like an unconfirmed story that was supposed to have happened in the mid 70's near the small town of Weldon, Ca. Again where a full grown beef steer was found hanging in the crotch of a tree twelve feet above the ground. The footprints reported to have been found where the steer was hanging were said to be well in excess of 21 inches, but no one got an accurate estimate of the length or width of those tracks, and we of the C.B.F.D. didn't hear of it until the late 70's or early 80's. The steers neck was said to be broken and the neck area was said to have been eaten on a little bit, but other than that, no other outward signs of damage was reported about this steer. CA LASSEN 1990 TR#82 * Eight years ago in late afternoon or early evening, near Susanville, CA, Bruce R. saw a possible Bigfoot off Hy. 44 on the Pittville road approximately one mile from Bridge Creek, elevation 6000 ft. He was returning to his hunting camp at Bridge Creek. Creature was about 100 yards distant in a clearing between Pittville Road and the fir or pine tree line, and was a medium to light brown color. It was about 8 feet tall, and walking rapidly away from the witness. It did look back at him over it’s left shoulder. It had long arms that swung more than a man’s would. Bridge creek widens to a swampy area close by. Tracks were not found in the rocky area the next morning.

CA LASSEN 1997 TR#71 * Had a call from Jamie A. Guzman who says a deer hunter on 9/20 found a gigantic dropping. He was 20 miles from Susanville in the Caribou Wilderness, near Swane Mt., between Chester and Westwood. The dropping in three segments was as long as his arm and six inches across, and contained manzanita berries. The witness will take Jamie up there this coming weekend and he’ll take some photos and samples that he’ll send up via UPS, so will send some up to Mary Jo Florey and to our veterinarian.

Sighting Text:
CA LASSEN 1980’S 40 29N 121 12W TR#91 * Bobbie Short report, sierra@n2.net Caribou Wilderness, CA, late 1980’s. I am a smoke jumper for the U.S. Forest Service. In the late 1980’s I jumped a fire with two others in the Caribou Wilderness, just a few miles north of Dave’s area, in the Red Cinder Peak area, CA. It was a single tree lightning fire and very little ground fire. We fell the tree and put out the fire without any difficulty. We made camp next to the burned area with the campfire inside the burned area. I awoke in the early hours, just before dawn when I heard a rustling in the brush. At first I thought it was one of the others, but when I looked they were both asleep in their bags. We normally do not see wildlife around fires, the noise and commotion seems to keep them away. Since our campfire had long burned out and we were asleep I thought it might be some animal coming to investigate. We are pretty careful about our trash and waste, anything that cannot be burned is packed out. We don’t want to be responsible for something getting addicted to human food. So I grabbed a headlamp ( a flashlight that attaches to a hard hat ) and shone it towards the bushes to scare it away. The first thing I noticed was the yellow eyes shining back at me about 50 feet away from a clump of small trees. The eyes seemed to be 8 feet or so above the ground with a large dark shape below it. My first impression was a bear standing on its rear legs, so I grabbed a stick and threw it at the animal while yelling, “go away!” The animal turned and ran off downhill. As it ran I saw it was moving upright, like a person, with its arms swinging at its side. Bears will stand on their rear legs, but can’t run or walk like that. About 150 feet or so downhill it stopped, raised its hand and pushed a tree branch aside, turned around and looked back at me. It was still upright. The other two were awake now and looked where I was shining my light. One of them asked “A bear?” I mumbled something like, “Ya, a bear.” Then whatever it was turned, ran off and disappeared. I said, “Go back to sleep. I’ll rebuild the fire to keep it away.” They went back to sleep. I built a large fire, and walked around the perimeter of our camp gathering wood. I kept shining my light around but I never saw it come back. In the daylight I checked the ground where I first saw it. The ground litter was visibly disturbed, but I couldn’t make out any footprints. About noon we packed our gear and started to the trailhead to get picked up. While hiking I kept turning and looking around but never saw anything. The others kept kidding me about being stalked by a bear. To this day I am convinced it was not a bear. I have never seen a bear act like that, or walk/run on two legs. Over the years other smoke jumpers and helitack crews have told me they have seen something big that was not a bear, but they go unreported. Things like that can affect your career.

Sighting Text:
CA TR21 About 15 miles east of Acton, Ca., and 6 miles south of Palmdale, Fred K. has a place in the mountains that he works from time to time, and he had a lady working with him about 4-5 years ago that said she had 3 or 4 close encounters with BF. In this same area, there is a tree with its top portion cut or broken off and turned upside down with the roots sticking up in the air. This tree, or what's left of it, is about 25-30 feet long and it is upside down on a ridge where as far as can be determined, there has never been any sort of logging, and this tree is very old. It is approximately 6-8 feet in diameter and weighs an estimated 8-9 tons! If one of our big hairy friends turned it upside down and left it as a marker of some sort, I hope and pray to God that I don't ever meet him or it. I cannot even begin to imagine what kind of strength it would require to up-end that tree. Rich Grumley 9/20/92, Director, C.B.F.O.*

Sighting Text:
CA Inyo CO TR21 Humans killed by BF * Report from Rich Grumley, Director, Calif. Bigfoot Organization. In 1980/1981, I was working as a security guard on a high tension tower project here in Ca. I met a man who was a "cat skinner" operating a bulldozer, leveling off the pads where each of these high tension towers was to go. I noted on his pickup truck 25-30 decals of places he had been hunting and introduced myself. In conversation I mentioned Bigfoot and he told me, "about the mid to late 1970's he was doing a little poaching (with the Forestry Official's permission in a locked and gated area near Bishop, Ca., they had given him a key so he could go in any time he wanted)." This particular time the gate was still locked (as it always was), he let himself in with his 4-wheel drive pickup to the area known as Four Points. He drove over a hill and there to his surprise were Department of the Interior and Bureau of land Management men all in their "Smokey The Bear" outfits with guns searching a campground, the hills, mountains, roads, etc. They grabbed this hunter, took his deer rifle away from him and questioned him for 7-8 hours as to what he was doing there. The local forestry officials identified him as a trusted friend and he was let go, but told to "never come back." He had determined during his interrogation that the reason the BLM and DI were there in force was that a Bigfoot creature had gone through there the day before and had torn up the campground; had turned over a "large" trash container (of the type you find behind large department stores), that no man can even begin to move, and had killed several people. Over the years passed the story to several, in fact, "quite a few" Bigfoot researchers, but "no one" was able to come up with one single "clue." Then in early to middle 1991, a young attorney by the name of Matt M., who is also interested in investigating the Bigfoot mystery, called the C.B.F.O.'s hotline (800) 800-1950, to tell me that he had heard that story several years ago and it had "always" stuck with him. When he was doing some BF research in the Bishop, Ca., area in 1989-90 he met a former policeman who said that he was on the Bishop police Force in the mid to late 1970's. Matt related the foregoing story of Bigfoot to the ex-police officer of Bishop, and he confirmed it! He told Matt that the story was the talk of "all" of the law enforcement agencies in that area at the time, but that they were under very tight security to not say anything about the incident and -the related deaths.

In conversation I mentioned Bigfoot and he told me, "about the mid to late 1970's he was doing a little poaching (with the Forestry Official's permission in a locked and gated area near Bishop, Ca., they had given him a key so he could go in any time he wanted)." Summary: Psychic-BF puts arms into window in the air; pulls arms from “other world”,
Sighting Text:
CA, Diane V. had a sighting in the Angeles Crest of the San Gabriel Mts. outside of Los Angeles in the spring of 1988. "The sighting lasted a few minutes...I watched the Bigfoot reach his arms into a rectangular shaped translucent window-ish space in the air. He grabbed hold of two large brown arms; his were black. He seemed to be pulling on the large brown arms and they seemed to be pulling back. This went on back and forth for a minute or two until the black one stopped pulling and the window-ish rectangle; which was about a foot off the ground; disappeared. Has anyone else seen this window-ish thing? If they are capable of passing back and forth through the windows; it would explain some ot the frequently asked questions.", inches 9.05.93.95.82.30.10.00.10.31.71.54.334.9 Crystal Lake; no temps,
