Sighting Text:
ME TR18*Rip LYTTLE went back east on a trip and while he was there asked about BF from some friends. One lady said her whole family had seen one in Maine in the 1970's at her farm near the coast. They saw something walk out of the edge of the forest 2 or 3 acres away, and thought at first it was a hunter, but it kept coming towards them on the farm, and they got nervous and went for the guns before it headed back to the woods. They were sure it was a Bigfoot and the whole family saw it.

ME PENEOBSCOT 1988 TR#93 * Bobbie Short,
sierra@n2.net, posts this one from Maine. A beautiful day in early summer or late spring, 1988, about 10 AM, concerns the Peneobscot County Ridge monster. A father and son who live near Millinocket were trout fishing at the end of an overgrown 30 year old log road, at an unnamed stream. The son, about 13, found the half-eaten remain of a snowshoe rabbit on the bank of the brook. The head of the hare was half eaten, and they went back to fishing. Catching their limit of brook trout, they started back for the truck, five miles away. Coming across an old cabin deep in the woods they rested and read a log-book on the table, noting by the owners where the “Ridge Monster” had been seen. Suddenly the father stopped on the road for several seconds, then rushed the boy back to the truck. Later in the car he told him that he had seen a Bigfoot. It was 20 yards away, 8 feet tall, about 500 pounds. It had one long arm holding a tree with one foot up an incline, and stared at his father for about 15-20 seconds. Al of a sudden, it simply pulled itself up with one hand on the tree and silently disappeared into the woods. Father was amazed by the agility and stealth of the creature, a male with no breasts, and in good health.

TR 77 MAY 98 On Sept. 15th, 1988, Boy Scouts were camping on Mt. Katahdin in Maine. The six campers saw it grubbing for roots in the dirt in a forest half-way up the mountain. It was making frightening sounds.
