A.P.E.S. hopes to help unravel the mystery and bring forth the facts that surround these creatures. We do not wish to bring harm to these creatures or hunt them down just for recreation purposes, but are in hopes of establishing their existence in order to help aid in their protection by whatever means we feel necessary. Our goal is to be able to study these creatures in their natural habitat in a scientific manner.

We have been studying the written data on the Sasquatch for more than 20 years. In late April, 2001 the founder of A.P.E.S. began active field research into the study of these creatures and eyewitness reports. A.P.E.S. was formed in October, 2002 with only a few members and has quickly grown into an organization of  individuals with a common goal in mind. A.P.E.S. plans to maintain frequent field outings in order to search for evidence of the creatures and document their behaviors. The heart of the organization is located in the deep south within the Ouachita mountain range in west central Arkansas. However, membership and research is open to the surrounding areas of southern Missouri, eastern Oklahoma, northern Mississippi, northeastern Texas, western Tennesse and northern Louisiana as well. However, we are currently NOT accepting new members.

People are afraid of that which they do not understand. Tabloids, media and fringe groups have aided in the misconceptions that surround these creatures. We must move past these ideas in order to maintain a good solid explanation for how/why North America harbors these unknown primates. We hope to help replace the tabloid perception with a more scientific one. You don't have to be crazy to study the unknown.
