Many have said to have discovered that sasquatch/bigfoot creatures leave markers in their territories or areas of travel. What these markers mean has yet to be determined, but is currently under investigation. Other known primates "bonobos"  leave many of the same markers for others of their group to follow. While there is no real evidence to back these markers as true bigfoot sign, it does merit further investigation.  Many forms of markers have been found. The most common forms are outlined below:

Please note* The pictures featured below are not "evidence" of bigfoot activity. While they were found in "active" areas, they have in no way been positively connected to bigfoot activity in any manner. The photos are posted on this page for reference only and as a basis of examples of what you may want to look for. Most tree twists, breaks and bows are natural formations or the result of normal wildlife such as deer, and can be found almost anywhere, please do not mistake them for markers or bigfoot activity.

Broken Limbs & Trees

Trees that are broken over in a clean break or trees that have branches broken high off the ground, too high for smaller wildlife to be responsible and sometimes too large for humans to break. These are sometimes found along trails that are regularly used. Sometimes the limbs are twisted and not broken, still left attached to the tree.

Teepees

Some markers have been found that make triangular shapes and are often referred to as teepee formations. These are usually sticks that have been arranged in a teepee style. They seem to range in sizes.

Bow/Arc Combo

This is a combination of an arc/bow and an x-formation together in one. Several of these have also been found in areas of high activity.

Ground Stabs

These are limbs that have been stabbed or impalled into the ground and just left standing. These are sometimes found along regularly used trails and in areas with no trees and therefore are a mystery.

Tree Arcs & Bows

Trees that vary in sizes and have been found pulled over in an arc or rainbow formation. They vary from natural storm damaged or bowed trees by being held down in place in numerous ways. Sometimes rocks or broken limbs are piled on the tops to hold the tree arcs in place. Other times the limbs are tied down with vegetation or woven into other tree limbs in order to hold them in place.

X-Formations

These are made up of 2 sticks of similar size usually placed between two trees in an exact X formation.

Stacked Items

Several researchers have discovered odd stacked items. These range from sticks to rocks to bones to feathers and other items. Pictured here is an oddity we found which will be included in detail on the oddities photo page.

Pinwheels

These are sticks arranged in a circular pattern similar to the spokes of a wheel. Sometimes they are found laid out on the ground or arranged in the forks of trees. They make a circular pattern like a fan design and therefore I refer to them as "pinwheels".
